Gillian Seaward-Boone is a professional dance artist based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia.

A graduate of l'Ecole de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM), Gillian worked with Sinha Danse, Pigeons International and Sasha Ivanochko before joining O Vertigo Danse as a full company member under the direction of Ginette Laurin. During her time with the company, Gillian performed across Europe, Asia and North America. Gillian returned to the Maritimes in 2013 and has since performed works by Serge Bennethan, Marie-Josée Chartier, Sara Coffin, Sharon Moore and Parts+Labour_Danse in collaboration with Mocean Dance. Gillian regularly collaborates with local artists and companies Jacinte Armstrong/SiNS, Lisa Phinney Langley/PHIN Danse, Lydia Zimmer/Zimmerdanse, and is a founding member of the Home Ex Artist Collective. Gillian has served as Rehearsal Director for the creations of Destins Croises, Danielle Desnoyers, Heidi Strauss, Sara Coffin and Lydia Zimmer, among others.

Gillian is a dancer and Project Manager for Noli Timere, a soaring new work by Rebecca Lazier, in collaboration with Janet Echelman, and is Producer and dancer for SAGA, a solo creation in collaboration with choreographer Sharon Moore. In addition to Production Management, Gillian teaches contemporary technique classes to the professional community of Halifax and beyond.

Gillian is the 2022 recipient of the Diane Moore Creation Award
